Introduction
Who I Am
I’m the Preaching Minister for the Blackwell Church of Christ in Blackwell, Oklahoma. My wife, Lexy, and I have four adult children and three grandchildren. I have been in ministry for over 36 years (18 of those in Blackwell). My passion is to engage people in a positive way and point them to Jesus. I love using my gifts to convey God’s love, grace, and mercy to others (1 Peter 4:10).
I’ve been blessed to travel to India on 3 different occasions to preach the gospel, serve widows and orphans, and bring aid to leper colonies. I am also involved in my local community as a bus driver for Blackwell Schools. I attended Oklahoma Christian University, majoring in Bible and Ministry. I also hold a degree in Psychology from Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
I am a member of the Fellowship of Christian Magicians and perform monthly at the Magic Attic Theater in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In addition to magic, I enjoy the outdoors (hunting, fishing, camping) and, most of all, playing with my grandkids!

With Lanny Jobe Magic all shows are created with the highest level of showmanship possible for engaging the crowd. For me, it’s not always about the big fancy props or illusions on stage, it’s about creating the experience that takes place in people’s minds. That’s where the magic happens. I try my best to combine visual and audio stimuli that will leave a lasting impression on the minds of the spectators. The content of each show is carefully chosen, well-rehearsed, and caters to the expectations of the audience.
Magic Show for Large Gatherings
(Banquet Halls/Churches/Event Centers)
I love performing for special occasions the most. Whether it’s a “Themed” event, a Valentine’s banquet, or a company party, I do my very best to bring the “Wow” factor. I aim to bring out the best in others as I present the best possible magic in the time frame allowed. You can count on me to perform a well-planned, interactive show that will leave you speechless and laughing. Get ready to see and experience something you’ve never quite seen before. I am here to entertain you – all you have to do is let me.
Magic Show for Smaller Gatherings
(Parlor Venues, Homes, Restaurants)
Parlor venues are my favorite places to set up some of the most intriguing magic and mentalism routines. They are conducive to narratives that relate back to the past as well as connecting with individuals in a safe, but more intimate setting. This is the best setting for close-up magic as well as mentalism.
Magic Show for Kids Birthday Parties
(Homes, Classrooms, or other Small Venues)
There’s nothing quite as exciting as doing magic in front of kids. I get them involved early and big into my presentations. They get loud, they get excited, and they get up out of their seats. I call it “Controlled Chaos!” But don’t worry, I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve on how to manage them. After all, I’m also a school bus driver! They will absolutely love “Bravo”, the Wonder Bunny, in the grand finale routine where I always showcase the birthday kid!
NEW Mentalism Show !!!
(Stage and Parlor)
I am now offering a new Mentalism show. I’ve been training for the last couple of years and have written a show that won’t disappoint. My mentalism act is both engaging and entertaining. It doesn’t matter if you have 20 or 200, the fast-paced action I present will create the illusion that I have stepped into the minds of your people. While this show is family-friendly and HR-approved, I recommend that audience members be at least 14 years old, due to the thinking skills required to comprehend the material.
Each show can be blended and customized to suit your needs.
